AUSTIN, TX. (Monday, April 27, 2026) – SKI Autosports and Memo Gidley delivered another perfect weekend in GT America powered by AWS, completing a second consecutive clean sweep with victories in both races at Circuit of the Americas.

The result continues a remarkable season for the team. SKI Autosports had never recorded a weekend sweep prior to the opening round of the 2026 season at Sonoma. Two events later, the team has now done it back-to-back.

Gidley now has a total of 17 series wins, while the double victories raise SKI Autosports’ tally to 11. The back-to-back clean sweep results give Gidley a total of five back-to-back wins in series history.

Saturday’s Race 1 came down to a dramatic final lap pass for victory. Gidley ran in contention throughout before making a decisive last-lap pass to secure the victory at the end of the back straight.

“Oh my God – Kent, awesome. It’s his birthday, so we’re celebrating,” Gidley said.

“Our team owners Kent and Melissa Hussey, were supposed to be somewhere else this weekend, and they surprised us on Thursday. Without them here, it wouldn’t have been the same. So happy birthday, Kent. The team was awesome. I love seeing this many GT America drivers now and really appreciate being out there. It’s a dream come true for me.

“The trophies go to him – absolutely all of them. Happy birthday, Kent.”

The late move capped a measured drive, with Gidley and SKI Autosports staying within striking distance before capitalizing when it mattered most.

Sunday’s Race 2 ended with the same result, but this time Gidley dominated after starting on pole. Gidley controlled the race from lights to flag, managing the gap and pace throughout to secure a dominant second victory of the weekend.

“Rossella Manfrinato is great – my engineer, my number one. She’s awesome,” Gidley said. “We’ve got such a strong core group right now. Everybody just delivers and does such a great job. It’s a pleasure.

“You get spoiled in this kind of situation because everything is done so well. You don’t have to worry about anything – just focus on driving. So thank you to SKI Autosports, Kent, Melissa, and the whole team.”

With four consecutive wins, Gidley now has a perfect points tally of 100 after the first two of seven race weekends for 2026. He currently holds a 52-point lead in the championship.

“Someone’s got to win races, and it might as well be me,” Gidley added. “I’m trying to get out there and inspire others to go for it, give maximum effort, and make it happen. That’s what I try to do every time.”

The GT America schedule now turns to Sebring International Raceway on May 8–10, a venue that holds added significance for Memo Gidley and SKI Autosports. It was at Sebring last year where the pairing first broke through together, scoring their maiden win as a driver/team combination in just their third race.
