SKI Autosports posts double podium at Sebring

Not the day we were hoping for – unfortunately, we were run into again on the opening lap and had to pit for a new tire. Some important data was collected in preparation for tomorrow’s second race.

Known for bringing the bright red Ferrari to SRO meetings, SKI Autosport will debut its Audi R8 LMS this weekend at VIRginia International Raceway in the next round of the GT America powered by AWS championship.

SKI Autosports left Circuit of the Americas after a bittersweet weekend which included the highest of highs – setting the pole and crossing the line first; to the lowest of lows – being spun off the circuit in race one and losing the win to a penalty in race two.

All the action practice today at Austin’s Circuit of The Americas for Johnny O’Connell and SKI Autosports in GT America today. Qualifying and race one is scheduled for tomorrow.

SKI Autosport could not have asked for more at their 2023 debut with SRO GT America, winning both races in the Master’s Cup category when SRO GT America was at NOLA a few weeks ago.

In his much-anticipated return to SRO GT America competition, Johnny O’Connell and SKI Autosports capture the Master’s Cup victory in both sprint races at NOLA Motorsports Park outside of New Orleans, LA.
